[MPlayer-users] compiling error

Hi!
I use Mandrake 8.1 and can't compile mplayer 0.50. I tried gcc 2.96, 3.01
and 2.95.2 from Mandrake 7.2.
On 2.95.2 I got error:

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lstdc++
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: ***[mplayer] Error 1

What should I do? I have XFree86devel, DivX4Linux, dll libraries.
Configure complain:
nm: /usr/X11R6/lib/libXext.a: No such file or directory

I checked XFree86devel it doesn't contain such file. I made all symlinks
suggested in FAQ.

I can't compile mplayer since 0.18
