[MPlayer-users] strange thing happens when updating via cvs

Good day,
in the past few days, and also today, when I updated an existing mplayer source
with cvs, I could not compile mplayer:
gcc: something/something.h: no such file or directory.
'make dep' also shows the very same error message.
I do re-run configure, do 'make dep clean', nothing helps.
However, deleting the source and downloading again the complete mplayer (also
with cvs), solves the problem, mplayer compiles perfectly.
Could it be a buggy cvs client in my Debian Sid (which is the unstable
version of debian), or something else wicked is going on?
