morn! I have successfully compiled MPlayer using gcc-3.0.2 (built from sources) without any problems (the distro I'm using is SuSE7.1). I'm not sure, but looks like MPlayer runs faster because of -mcpu=athlon -march=athlon supported in gcc-3.0.2 (I've got duron 800 box here). -- Regards, Draky J. Void
