[Mplayer-users] Gcc 2.96

Hello,

I've downloaded a CVS Snapshot of MPlayer, and when I
attempt to ./configure it, I get a message advising me
to upgrade/downgrade gcc to 2.95.2 or 3.0.+.

Now I cant find an rpm of gcc 3.0 (for my Red Hat 7.1
Linux i386 machine).....

Any idea where I can find it ?

Or is it advisable to use my present gcc 2.96
