[MPlayer-users] unable to play .mpg file (uploaded to ftp)

Hi,

I get:
============= Sorry, this file format not recognized/supported

=== If this file is an AVI, ASF or MPEG stream, please contact the 
author! ===

when I try to play an MPEG video file which plays ok (but with horrible 
quality) with xmovie and mtv. I've uploaded the files:

amnstest.mpg (first 5Mb)
amnstest.txt (output of mplayer -v)
