Hello,

I am new to this list since I installed the mplayer for the first time
yesterday. Worked right outa the box for the command line.

When running mplayer -gui I get the following output:

Linux RTC init error: Permission denied
Using usleep() timing
Can't open /home/coney/.mplayer/input.conf : no such file or directory
Falling back on default (hardcoded) config

and mplayer appears as a running process but no GUI shows up.

Does anyone have a clue?
