[MPlayer-users] Lirc broken in latest CVS?

I'm setting up a second video server now, and have just gotten the thing
to work with a homebrew IR receiver.

Under Mplayer 0.60, LIRC support appears to be fine, and works without a
problem... But I'm running it via TV-OUTs, and the Radeon overlay
doesn't quite work right on this card (Radeon 7500 All in one.. The new
one).

So, Trying the latest CVS snapshot (20020409), and vidix handles the
card without a problem... But lirc doesn't appear to be accepting any
commands. I can see it binding to the lirc daemon, and it says that
it's setting up lirc, but it doesn't respond to any button presses.

Any ideas? I hate to go back to .60, as I've got to use frame-drop
without the vidix or the overlay and it gets a bit choppy, but if the
wife can't control it, it's useless.

I'm running Debian Unstable, Kernel 2.4.19pre1 with preempt patches.
I'm compiling mplayer with ./configure --enable-lirc on both .60 and the
CVS. .60 works without issue, CVS says it's going to work, but never
accepts any lirc commands.

Thanks,

Greg Nicholson
