RTFM Remi, before you tell nonsense.
You need to delete the frameno.avi before the first pass, which is mencoder 
-ovc frameno, but mencoder -pass 1 is actually the second pass in 3-pass 
encoding, so if you delete the file before -pass 1 you fschked it the encode.
