[MPlayer-users] gui Installation problems

I can compile it with the option -enable-gui (I say
"./configure --enable-gui"). 

Then I typed in (at the su level)
"ln -s /usr/local/bin/mplayer
/usr/local/bin/gmplayer".

Then I can use mplayer without gui but but when I want
to use gmplayer, nothing happens.
