Weird

bash-2.05$ ls -al /dev/cdrom
lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root            8 May 31 22:06 /dev/cdrom ->
/dev/hdd

I dont have a DVD device. I hadnt time to check but it may be that you
might forget to close
some open files so it freezes at the next try....
