[MPlayer-users] ANNOUNCE: mencoder audio delay/preload/density configurable

could we get some explanations too ? 

audio-delay... i understand

audio-density, audio-preload .. i don't..

or these two options are some never-used,
not-really-useful,very-technical ones ? :-)
