If you have root rights, put the qt library directory in your ld.so.conf and 
do a ldconfig
My ld.so.conf:

/usr/lib
/usr/X11R6/lib
/usr/local/lib
/usr/local/kde/lib
/usr/local/lib/qt/lib

OR without root rights:
export QTDIR=/where/your/qt/dir/is

I hope this will work.
