In short: mplayer current cvs does not compile without win32 codec
support. I compile & run it on a sparc so no win32 possible.

The message:

gcc -c -Wall -W -Wall -O2 -mcpu=v8 -g3 -D_REENTRANT -D_LARGEFILE_SOURCE -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -I. -Inative -I.. -I../libmpdemux -I../loader -o ad_real.o ad_real.c
ad_real.c: In function `preinit':
ad_real.c:65: `REALCODEC_PATH' undeclared (first use in this function)
ad_real.c:65: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
ad_real.c:65: for each function it appears in.)
ad_real.c:65: parse error before string constant
