[MPlayer-users] Can't get crop to work

Hello all.

I tried to crop an avi file to reencode it (from 1.5gig to ~700M) but
couldn't get the plugin to work.

When I issue this command:

mencoder file.avi -oac copy -ovc copy -ss 00:10:00 -endpos 00:00:10 \
  -o test.avi -vop crop=480:100:0:160

I get this message:

MPlayer interrupted by signal 11 in module: video_read_properties 
- MPlayer crashed by bad usage of CPU/FPU/RAM. Recompile MPlayer with
--enable-debug and make a 'gdb' backtrace and disassembly. For details, see
DOCS/bugreports.html section 5.b.
- MPlayer crashed. This shouldn't happen. It can be a bug in the MPlayer
code _or_ in your drivers _or_ in your gcc version. If you think it's
MPlayer's fault, please read DOCS/bugreports.html and follow instructions
there. We can't and won't help unless you provide these informations when
reporting a possible bug.

What am I doing wrong??
