Hello,,
I was trying to watch DVDs (with MPlayer/Ogle/Xine)
after installing the RH7.3, and the drive, which is a
TOSHIBA DVD-ROM SD-C2502 (DVD 8x, CDROM 24x)
(which had no probs before with a RH7.1 and works ok
under windows), is too slow.
I was trying to use hdparm like I did when I had the
same problem under the RH7.1, with something like -d1
-X34. Now there is no improvement and the "Timing
buffered disk reads" options is always constant...
Is the value (reported below) too low for such a
device?
Here the output of hdparm -i, -I, and -tT
