It needs width=foo and height=bar or it defaults to 48x32 (which doesn't seem 
to work, who's responsible for such a silly default value anyway?) ... and 
you'll probably want to specify a chanlist and a channel just to be sure its 
tuned right (ie you're not watching static which seems to look like nothing 
on these tv cards).

The manual also suggests trying nosound if you don't get a picture.
