[MPlayer-users] DVD track skipping each other frame

Hello all.

I have a strange DVD here:

I can play it perfectly well, but when I try to rip it, mencoder skip one
out of two frames.

The command I used is

nice -n 20 mencoder -o frameno.avi -ovc frameno -oac mp3lame -lameopts
q=3:vbr=3:mode=3 -dvd 1

(the mode for lame is 3 because the DVD is in mono)

and I get this output:

skip frame!!!

skip frame!!!

If I do the whole encoding and watch the result, I get a movie that looks a
bit like it's interlaced.

Is there any explanation/way to fix that?

By the way, I can supply a GDB dump if it can help ;^)
