Post bechmark results, please. I have an ATI Mach64 (3D Rage Pro) and it
works for me fine (but I do have an athlon machine).

-ao sdl certainly works. Some -vc options don't because they'd require
additional packages, but you'd know that if you had read the webpage.

RTFwebpage. You need to install mplayer-vidix-0.90pre6-2.i686.rpm and
mplayer-vidix-mach64-0.90pre6-2.i686.rpm at the same time.

I think my webpage states clearly that these packages are for RH7.x.

These are irrelevant if you're using precompiled binaries.

-zoom? That's definitely too cpu-intensive for your system!
Why didn't you use 'mplayer -vo xv' (which is the default in my packages)?

Have you tried this?

Yup, video codec cpu usage is over 100% because of -zoom.
