I finnaly found in archives that , mencoder cannot do avi merge, but I belive 
it should state clearly in docs.

I read all docs, man and it never mention that mencoder cannot handle mutiple 
files, it just says it takes input file.

 It is not enough to be completly clear for readers. I think you can add 2 
sentences in mencoder section about joining  files, because it is frequently 
needed.
