[MPlayer-users] Compiling problem

Hello... I want to try out mplayer, but I'm having a problem with 
building it...
./configure works ok, but make returns this...

gcc -c -O3 -march=pentium -mcpu=pentium -ffast-math -funroll-loops 
-fomit-frame-pointer -fforce-mem -fforce-addr -malign-double 
-fno-exceptions -D_REENTRANT -D_LARGEFILE_SOURCE -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64

I'm using gcc 2.95.3. Do I need to upgrade it?
