[MPlayer-users] jerky playing of all files

Hello!

My problem is that all files I play with Mplayer are 
somewhat jerky. There is a little jump after 1 or 2 seconds 
in the picture. If I use sdl either for ao or for vo than 
there is a constant delay between the sound and the 
picture. Its more jerky if I play the file from cdrom, even 
if I try to set a big cache. I have played around with vo 
xv,x11,sdl,gl,gl2 and ao sdl and arts. Ao oss doesnt work.
I use 0.90 pre10, nvidia card with the latest driver, 
kernel 2.4.18-3, Amd Duron 850. redhat 7.3 gcc3.idontknow
Its maybe an irq problem, it drives me nuts!:)
Please give me some advise!
