Well, it more about freedom to modify, add features, redistribute, fork, use
wherever I want whenever I want, make legal copies to help my friends to
solve their problems and so on...
I don't call MS "Shared Source" Open Source, even though the source is
available...

No, it doesn't have to be a contradiction... Adding for example profiles or
presets doesn't change anything of it's power and flexibility... Adding a GUI
on top of it doesn't change that either...
