[MPlayer-users] bttv grab under Linux

Hello,

I've tried to use mencoder under linux (2.4.20) on an AMD duron 700 MHz
and Pinnacle (Miro) PCTV Pro.
Everithing went OK (video and voice sync too).
But after some seconds (20-30 depends on bttv gbuffer and gbuffer_size
parameters) the machine began to swap out everithing.
Is it mencoder's problem (seems to be a memleak) or bttv's ?

My other problem is that when I try to grab a 640x480 video insted of
384x288 (2.77x area) mencoder encode only 12 fps with 100% CPU usage
instead of 25-30%.

Did anyone succeed grabbing from a TV card ?
A faster machive sholud help ?
