OK. I found out when exactly MPlayer crashes.
I tried to force a font file in my ~/.mplayer/config file:
font=~/OpenOffice/user/fonts/tahoma.ttf
It doesn't work.
Log from MPlayer:
get_path('subfont.ttf') -> '/home/rubin/.mplayer/subfont.ttf'
New_Face failed. Maybe the font path is wrong.
When I did the link ~/.mplayer/subfont.ttf, everything runs OK.
When I set:
font=/home/rubin/OpenOffice/user/fonts/tahoma.ttf
in config file then it works fine.
So the problem is, that MPlayer's parser does not recognize the '~'.
And not knowing why it cannot work properly without a font and crashes.
I think that's the bug.
Do I still need to send the full bugreport for this?
Cheers
Wojtek
