modprobe emu10k1:

Unknown AC97 codec!!! May be it new codec, and center/sub routed
differ from other chips (port number).

g> i have a mandrake-2.4.20-kernel, and it works.

mplayer -channels 6 -ao oss /mnt/d/dvd/shrek/01.vob
I hear sound only in 5 channels (Sub has hardware mix of all
channels).
If I write for example 'emu-dspmgr -a"fx12:Rear R"', I hear in Rear R
mix of Rear R and Center channels.
If I write 'emu-dspmgr -a"fx8:Analog Center"' or
'emu-dspmgr -a"fx12:Analog Center"' , I can't hear sound from
center channel.

In ALSA9.rc6 I can hear with ac3dec sound in all channels only if I
turn "surround" in ALSA mixer. "surround" applays to voulume of center
channel only. Why?

p.s. emu10k1 mailing list seems to be dead (53 messages during all
life of mailing list).
