[MPlayer-users] Mplayer/ogm/ogg

Hi everybody...
I use dvd::rip and transcode for first time today...
I saw that it create an ogm file when we use vorbis for sound encoding.
My question is : mplayer can "decode" ogg vorbis stream with more than 2 
channels ???
My idea is to modify the ogg encoder plugin into transcode for encode the 
5.1 dolby sound (i don't have a look on transcode if it can be feasible...) 
from the DVD into 6 channels in ogm stream... So mplayer can play the 6 
channels ?
