I have the same problem as described by Dirk Mayer. Digital sound works 
fine with the ct5880 and the alsa drivers (though stops and starts a bit 
unlike with the modified es1371 driver that comes with the 2.4.18 
kernel) however I can't seen to get hwac3 to work. Has anyone resolved this?

alsa-init: playback open error: Invalid argument
