[MPlayer-users] Can't Install 0.9rc1

I cannot install the mplayer-0.9rc1 RPM. This is the error I get:

[root at FDSLT001 mplayer]# rpm -Uvh --replacepkgs mplayer-0.90rc1-2.i686.rpm

I've downloaded the rpm several times on the chance that download was 
corrupted but I get the same message every time. As an alternative, what 
am I loosing if I install the i386 instead of the i686 version? (I'm 
trying to install on a PIII Dell Latitude C800 laptop.) Any help 
appreciated.
