[MPlayer-users] xfree crash

i have a problem with mplayer since .90pre8. Sometimes it totally crashes the 
X session just before start playing a video (never happens after the playing 
has started). It is random, and happens with different video formats.
I have  Redhat 8, mplayer .90rc1 rpms rebuilded by myself running in a dual p3 
800mhz with a nvidia vanta video card. I use xv as video output driver and  
arts for the sound.
is it a problem in my configuration?
