gmplayer seems broken in comparison to mplayer
mplayer -vo ?? testmovie
sdl:
plays fine
fullscreen switch (and switch back) works fine
x11
plays fine
fullscreen doesn't switch back. Pressing "f" repeatedly has no effect.
xv
plays fine
fullscreen switch (once) scales movie to fill width.
fullscreen switch (again) re-scales movie to fill height (stretch)
(again) no change. Pressing "f" repeatedly has no effect.
dga
vo_dga: Framebuffer mapping failed!!!
FATAL: Cannot initialize video driver!
init_vo failed
FATAL: Couldn't initialize video filters (-vop) or video output (-vo)!
aa
plays fine. Looks cool with Matrix Reloaded teaser :-)
fullscreen doesn't work. Pressing "f" repeatedly has no effect.
(no surprise here)
gmplayer -vo ?? testmovie
(all)
Starts with gui controls positioned bottom right corner, partially
covered by Gnome toolbar!
sdl:
Blue window open center screen. Movie plays in another window, top left
corner of screen. Plays fine except fullscreen switch gives black screen
w/ no output. Pressing "f" repeatedly has no effect, q to quit works
x11:
fullscreen doesn't switch back. Movie is not scaled to fit width or
height. Pressing "f" repeatedly has no effect. q to quit works
xv:
fullscreen switch (once) scales movie to fill width.
fullscreen switch (again) re-scales movie to fill height (stretch)
Pressing "f" repeatedly switches between the two full screen modes
above. q to quit works
dga:
signal 11, message about debugging with gdb :-)
aa:
Blue window open center screen. Movie plays in another window, top left
corner of screen. Plays fine except fullscreen switch gives black screen
Pressing "f" repeatedly has no effect, q to quit works
So I have one fully working option for mplayer,
and none for gmplayer :(
