Hi,

is it normal that xv output is more cpu intensive than xvidix, although the
xv-extension supports hardware scaling? what are the differences for mplayer
while decoding? where comes the higher cpu-load?
because xvidix doesn't work with atis xfree86 firegl driver and the radeon
driver xfree86 4.2.1 is messing up my flat panel, i have to use xv with
firegl drivers.
so are there any options to speed up xv output?

greets
  Marcel
