It doesn't, it only fixes the -geometry option acording to MPlayer documentation.
To change  it into somting X window like was only a suggestion...

So you'll still need to write:: mplayer -geometry 23:0 -x 730 -y 550

If I've the time I will have a go on the option parsing code.
