Here is how I parsed the thread:

A question was asked:
	"where is mplayer?"

You answered with this statement:
	"based on linux as stated on the page"

This implies the statement:
	"If you want to play video on Linux, Mplayer is required."

Given that there are ways to play video on Linux without using GPLed code,
that statement makes no sense.  Therefore I replied with a question asking
if that's what you meant to say.
