Greetings -

I finally got tired of "date -r" leaving a date.core file
around when I built MPlayer and decided to do something
	about it.

On some systems (BSD derived) date -r means "use the date and
time given, in seconds from the Epoch, instead of the current
	time".

This is an extensible version.sh that uses uname -s to direct
its behaviour, if no match on OS is detected then the current
	date is used.

	Comments, commits, etc welcome :)

	Cheers,
	Steven Schultz
