[MPlayer-users] Another newbie with a broken sound config...?

Sorry to follow up on my own post, but I managed to get sound!
Previously I had tried:

mplayer -dvd 1

which generated the standard error:
DEMUXER: Too many (4096 in 8268068 bytes) video packets in the buffer!

however, if I run with the further options

mplayer -dvd 1 -alang en -slang hu

I get no error and the sound works! This is fine for both oss and
alsa9 options. I don't quite see why this should be, but I am happy
all the same.
