[MPlayer-users] DVD audio resampling 48k -> 44.1k

Kudos to the mplayer developers! Great work! mplayer so far is the only
DVD play-back solution that I've been able to get working on my Debian
(mostly) woody system.

The only significant problem that I've noticed is that the audio seems
slow. It is completely in-sync with the video, it just sounds slow. I
think this is because the audio on the DVD's that I've tried playing
was sampled at 48khz. (Are all DVD's encoded @ 48khz?)  I don't think
the audio is being properly down-sampled to the 44.1khz that my SB AWE64
supports. I thought about getting a SB Live but I'm short on PCI slots
right now (NIC, SCSI, TV-tuner, & Firewire).

Below is the output from a complete play-back of "Independence Day".
Access to the RTC doesn't make a difference, BTW.
