[MPlayer-users] Speed on mpeg2

My Pentium 300 laptop is just too slow to play dvd's without 
problems using mplayer.

I noticed that vlc (Videolan client) works ok on my computer; it is much 
faster.

I only could use mplayer -vo x11 -ao oss, my graphics card is old and does 
not like xv, or dga.

Maybe some code can be merged to speed things up, that's what opensource 
is for.
