really weird.
did you changed gcc optimizations flags ?
(forcing aligned data etc)

afaik some of odivx developers worked on solaris, so it must work.
anyway, some of mplayer users use solaris and it does work...
and, it's really weird if standard C code cause fault because of
unaligned data. the c compiler should handle this... (imho)
