[MPlayer-users] Scale *down* an image in fullscreen mode using xvideo? can't be done.

I've noticed that video's which are larger than the X
desktop
cannot be scaled *down* to fit the desktop geometry
when
using the xvideo driver (nvidia proprietary). It
scales as
advertised however, with the x11, gl, and gl2 output
drivers.

Anyone else find this problem? fixes? My DVD backups
(divx) with a width of 704pixels are clipped on the
right
side at the edge of the display (640 pixels). The
-x,-y, -xy
options do nonthing to fix this (-xy only takes
integers, so
it wont scale down images).

Oh, and why 640x480? So I can use the "nvtv" driver
which
allows me to watch my mplayer movies on my TV in the
family room (very cool).

thanx!
