[MPlayer-users] diskspace overrun by mencoder using scaling

hi list,

usually, mencoder (yesterday's CVS) writes about 100 kByte/s
to disk while encoding to DivX. But when I use scaling (e.g.
-x 768 -y 576 or -x 768 -y 576 -sws 2) approximately 10 MegaByte/s
are written to disk, which causes diskspace overrunning even
with 13 Gbyte free.

Anyone having an answer?
