[MPlayer-users] Help! 4CC:MP4S "No video stream found"

Hello!

I have problems playing a whole range of video files of the type "MP4S".
Refering to http://www.mplayerhq.hu/DOCS/codecs-status.html,
MP4S should be a built-in native codec of opendivx, divx4linux and 
ffmpeg opendivx.
The mplayer documentation says, mplayer can play Mpeg4 V1 streams:
 "They developed two variants of ASF, v1.0 and v2.0. [...] MPlayer supports 
  only v1.0"
In the standard ~/.mplayer/codecs.conf there is a line saying:
  "fourcc MP4S,mp4s      ; ISO MPEG-4 Video V1"
So I assume MP4S is indeed an MPEG-4 Video V1 stream, but mplayer chokes 
for instance on this one: ftp://mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/incoming/movn018.asf

My question:

Is mplayer able to decode MP4S? On Windows, MP4S is normally decoded by 
DirectShow (See http://www.advogato.org/article/101.html).
If so, what can I try to get the decoding running?
