[MPlayer-users] mplayer dosn't function on my pc

Hello, I compiled Mplayer with gcc 2.95.3 on a Red Hat 7.3 but when I launch 
it with the command   mplayer -dvd 1 -dvd-device /dev/dvd I read this error 
message

libdvdread: Can't seek to block 256
libdvdread: Can't open file VIDEO_TS.IFO.
Can't open VMG info!

I have already link my dvd by ln -s /dev/hdd /dev/dvd and the region is set to 
2.
I have a ATI radeon video card and Xv seems set properly

Could we tell me what is my problem?
