*sigh* Are you sure you're compiling *latest* (and I mean 2002-07-09 or newer)
ffmpeg cvs version?
Anyway, here's another update:
I tracked this down to some changes in libavcodec/common.h:
Revisions 1.44 and 1.46 are fine, while 1.45 and 1.47 aren't.
I updated my bugzilla report with this info. Here's a direct link if someone
with RedHat's gcc3-3.1-5 has the same problem:
