[MPlayer-users] mencoder lavc file size

Anyone have any ideas as to why a 46 min vob file encoded with mencoder 
using the mpeg4 libavcodec at vbitrate=1500 would be 100mb *smaller*
than the exact same command-line bug with vbitrate=1400?
