Not very in depth, etc, but a start.

Whoever maintains docs (Gabucino, based on them) is welcome and encouraged to 
put this into the main mplayer docs. 

I will try to keep this updated as much as possible.

Notes:
configure script has to be changed (pthread test doesn't work, specify 
-Lpthread does)
codecs.conf has to have libmp3 section and libmad section taken out/commented 
out. (libmp3 does work, but it is fpu based and SA doesn't have an fpu :(, 
libmad just doesn't work yet, at least for me.)
 
comments, corrections etc are welcome.

oh yeah, it is much faster than the built-in player and plays more types of 
files and looks better. congrats to the people who do the hard work on 
mplayer.
