hi,

i'd like to hear your opinions:

i have an avi file with wma audio (64kb/s)... and i don't want it with
that... so i decided to reencode audio into something else...
and here are the questions coming:

what audio is safe to put inside an avi?
by safe i mean that it's not a forced hack on the avi fileformat and can
be played back with normal tools on linxu, windows ( maybe osx or
idontknowwhat )..

1. cbr mp3. is that safe everywhere?
2. vbr/abr mp3. is that safe? is the final avi playable on windows?
3. vorbis audio ( in an avi) ... does it work? is that correct?

thanks,
gabor

That's life for you, said McDunn. Someone always waiting for someone
who never comes home. Always someone loving something more than that
thing loves them. And after awhile you want to destroy whatever
that thing is, so it can't hurt you no more.
