[MPlayer-users] subtitle problem.

Hi!

  I am having some trouble with subtitles.  I installed the Chinese fonts,
hoping to see the chinese subtitle on certain divx movie.  However, the
chinese only showes up if I use .sub subtitles...If I use .ssa or .srt
subtitle, it only shows the weird characters.  And does anyone know of
a linux subtitle converter?! I tried google search, but seems like only
windows converter exists...thanks
