What "deactivated cache"? RTFM.
$ man mplayer
[...]
       -cache <kbytes>
              This option specifies how much memory (in kbytes) to use when  precaching  a
              file/URL.  Especially useful on slow media (default is -nocache).

Are you saying you changed the source? What for?
