for example: normally at (mplayer lotr-cd1.avi -sub lotr1-24010\
DEF.txt -subdelay 1 -subfps 24 -vop...)
~0:43:19 "Mr Frodo! Frodo!" blablabla yada yada yada (which is synced
with the speech)
1:26:03 "I choose a mortal life"

and without options desynced (:mplayer lotr-cd1.avi -sub lotr1-24010\
DEF.txt)
0:43:23 "Mr Frodo, ..."
1:26:09 "I choose a mortal life"

---
when using -dumpmpsub (without resampling; mplayer lotr-cd1.avi -sub
lotr1-24010\ DEF.txt -subdelay 1 -subfps 24 -dumpmpsub)
then, when playing again
(with: mplayer lotr-cd1.avi -sub dump.mpsub -vop resample=fout=44100)

0:42:45 MrFrodo!Frodo! (unsynced)
1:25:04 "I choose a mortal life"
(same result without resampling)

----
now with the resampling
(mplayer lotr-cd1.avi -sub lotr1-24010\ DEF.txt -subdelay 1 -subfps 24
-vop resample=fout=44100 -dumpmpsub)
0:42:45 MrFrodoFrodo
1:25:04 "I choose a mortal life"

(eh, when playing; adding -subfps and -subdelay has NO effect on mpsubs'
format!)

So resampling has no effect at all

when using -dumpsrtsub, whatever option i use, i can read
"Mr frodo" at 00:10:24 which is totally wrong
and "i choose..." at 0:20:40

Can't really be more precise now :)

Normally when subdelay and subfps are precised, the avi won't interfer
with the subs?

anyway, the first cd is at ftp://lethalwp.dyndns.org/pub/movies/lotr*
i know, max 10~12KBPS...

Yes, but it doesn't interfer :)

I don't know how they were ripped of the dvd, they should be read with
"vobsub 2.14.exe" (i won't reboot win,no.) or something

and they are totally unusable with mplayer, only the last sentence is
shown when seeking
I agree, those files could be b0rken
