[MPlayer-users] splitting avi output

Well you can use mencoder with -ss and -endpos to split it into two files
mencoder --endpos h:mm:ss to say when it has to stop encoding, after 700 Mb, so half of the movie
mencoder -ss h:mm:ss to say when it has to start encoding, at the beginning of the second half
check the man page for further informations
